It’s really rather simple. Users deposit their waste in the holding tank. Earth-friendly chemicals are included in the tank to help break down waste while inhibiting odors and keeping the potty usable. At regular intervals, potty service technicians will come and vacuum out the waste. Units can be periodically cleaned or replaced depending on the needs of the site.

There are a few factors to consider that can affect the total rental price. What is the length of my event, hours, days, weeks, months? How often will it need to be serviced? Is your unit needed in less than 48 hours? Upgrades, like flushing toilet restrooms or restrooms with hand wash sinks will be at a higher rental rate than our standard units.

Our employees clean and sanitize the portable restrooms at each service. We also add a special detergent to the water, which acts as both a sanitizer and deodorizer, keeping the unit smelling great while reducing exposure to germs.

When our service technicians service your unit, you can expect:
• The holding tank is emptied with a vacuum pump and any interior garbage removed
• The holding tank is refilled with earth-friendly deodorizer which also breaks down waste until the next service
• The interior (walls, floor, toilet, sink) will be washed and cleaned with a scented disinfectant as well as bleach
• Two fresh rolls of toilet paper are replenished. If the unit has a sink, soap and hand towels will be restocked.
• Urinal block and a special deodorizer will be applied
• Unit will be inspected for minor damage and repairs
• You will be asked for a signature after the service was completed

The standard service frequency for a portable toilet rental is once per week, for up to 10 people over a normal work week. Our standard rental rates include the cost of weekly cleaning and service. Increased frequency of cleaning and service is available to all clients for an additional charge.
If your project has more people or is operating for longer hours, you should consider increasing your cleaning service schedule to additional visits each week or you can also add another unit to accommodate the increased usage.

There are several actions you can take to maximize use while keeping them clean:
• Lock up your units on private sites to prevent the public from using them
• Do not put anything other than toilet tissue and waste into the tank
• Make sure that your portable toilet rental is placed in a well ventilated area
• Blocked or inaccessible units will result in missed cleaning service which will undoubtedly lead to unsanitary conditions
• Make changes to your cleaning service schedule if the number of workers increases
• Consider adding a separate unit for men and women on site.

Yes. Our deluxe portable toilets are the most popular rental for weekend or one day parties. There are many other options to choose from, with the ability to rent for just one day as well. Due to high demand, we recommend you confirm your booking as soon as your event is finalized. Orders made less than 48 hours in advance are also subject to an additional “rush” delivery fee and set-up. Plan in advance!

Replacement costs can range from $500-$2,000 USD depending on the Unit. If damaged, lost, stolen or missing, ELLCO will charge you the total replacement cost inclusive of international freight, duties and fees.
